Turning 37?!?! Did you freak out when you were almost 40????

Turning 37?!?! Did you freak out when you were almost 40???? I find myself reflecting on the passing years and the experiences that have shaped me. There was a time when the idea of nearing 40 would have filled me with anxiety, but now, I'm filled with a sense of contentment. I want to share my perspective on aging, my goals for this year, and how I've learned to prioritize enjoying the journey, rather than stressing about timelines. Join me as I embrace the beauty of life and the love I have for my family.

Gratitude for the Journey:

Aging has brought me a newfound sense of gratitude. I've realized that every year, every milestone, and every wrinkle tells a story (even though I may not be too fond of my wrinkles haha). Instead of lamenting the passage of time, I choose to be grateful for the experiences that have shaped me into who I am today. Each year brings growth, wisdom, and new opportunities for self-discovery and learning which I am constantly doing!

Letting Go of Timelines:

In our fast-paced world, it's easy to get caught up in the pressure of achieving certain milestones by a specific age. However, I've come to understand that life doesn't adhere to a rigid timeline. I've learned to let go of societal expectations and embrace my own unique journey. By releasing the stress of arbitrary deadlines, I can fully enjoy the present moment and focus on what truly matters which right now I really am just wanting to enjoy the life that I have built with my family and see my kids grow. I think it is so beautiful.

Embracing the Power of Relaxation:

Amidst the demands of work, family, and personal responsibilities, it's crucial to prioritize relaxation (I know you guys seen my summer office!). This year, I've made it a goal to incorporate more moments of calm and tranquility into my life. Whether it's practicing mindfulness, engaging in a hobby, or simply spending quality time with loved ones, I'm learning to slow down and savor the simple joys that make life fulfilling. This is incredible important to me as I try to slow down on my business end. I find it incredibly difficult to let others take the lead and my business is one of my babies! But I see how incredibly important it is to find the time to relax even if that means scheduling it.

Cultivating Love and Connection:

Family is at the heart of my journey, and I'm committed to fostering love and connection within my household as well as with our lord. I'm realizing that the most precious moments are often found in the ordinary and mundane. By being fully present and actively participating in the lives of my loved ones, I'm creating a nurturing environment where we can grow together, learn from one another, and cherish the bonds we share. I find myself being able to do this more often on vacations because I literally forget I even have my phone. I want to take the mind set I have when I get to get away and have it in my own house. Being present for my kids is so incredibly important to me as they grown and become more and more of themselves.

Embracing New Adventures:

While I'm focused on enjoying the journey, it doesn't mean I'm averse to new experiences. This year, I have a couple of exciting ideas in mind—things I've always wanted to try but never found the time for. Whether it's learning a new skill, exploring a new hobby, or embarking on an adventure with my family, I'm open to embracing the unknown and stepping out of my comfort zone and I am so excited for this journey with my family and I cannot wait for another year around the sun!

Turning 37, I'm filled with a sense of contentment and excitement for the journey that lies ahead. By shifting my perspective on aging, letting go of timelines, and prioritizing relaxation and love, I've found a renewed appreciation for life. This year, my main goal is to simply enjoy the journey, to embrace each moment as it comes, and to continue cultivating a life filled with love, joy, and meaningful experiences. May we all find solace in the beauty of aging and discover the profound joy that comes from living life to the fullest.
